麦格理发报指，泰国政府正推动法案，允许于当地经营赌场，预计法案明年通过。报告引述业界专家指，泰国赌场市场有潜力成为亚洲第二大博彩市场，但落后于澳门，受惠于泰国本身强劲的旅游业。报告指，泰国或初步发放5个赌场牌照，其中2个在曼谷，巴堤雅、清迈及布吉各1个。银娱、美高梅中国、拉斯维加斯金沙(LVS.US)及永利渡假村(WYNN.US)已表达兴趣，澳博(00880)拟集中于澳门营运，因其优先仍为提升上萄京业务。该行相信若任何澳门博彩营运商能参与泰国的综合渡假村开发，将有助该等公司有更多元的收入动力。
