ALS (ASX:ALQ) reported statutory earnings of AU$0.26 per share for the first half of the fiscal year 2025, down from AU$0.274 per share a year earlier, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha expected AU$0.30.
Statutory net profit after tax for the six months ended Sept. 30 declined 5% to AU$126.8 million from AU$133.5 million. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected AU$146 million.
Revenue from ordinary activities rose nearly 20% to AU$1.46 billion from AU$1.22 billion a year earlier.
The professional technical services provider declared a dividend of AU$0.189 per share payable on Dec. 19 to shareholders of record as of Nov. 28. This is lower than the AU$0.1960 payout for the same period in the prior fiscal year.
