Monday - November 25

  • Volatility watch - MicroStrategy (MSTR) heads the list of options trading with high implied volatility amid bankruptcy speculation. The most overbought stocks per their 14-day relative strength index include Zion Oil (OTCQB:ZNOG), Honest Company (HNST), and AppLovin (APP). The most oversold stocks per their 14-day Relative Strength Index include Juniper (JNPR), Celanese (CE), and Regeneron (REGN). Short interest is elevated on Immunitybio (IBRX) and Enovix (ENVX).
  • All week - Pony AI (PONY) is expected to price its IPO and begin to start trading during the week. The robotaxi player said it is targeting a valuation of up to $4.6 billion with the upsized initial public offering. The Guangzhou-based company is now aiming to raise as much as $260 million by offering 20 million American depositary shares priced between $11 and $13 each.
  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Agilent (A), Zoom Video (ZM), and Bath & Body Works (BBWI).
  • All day - Shareholders with Vista Outdoor (VSTO) will vote on approving the merger with Czechoslovak Group.
  • All day - PAR Technology Corporation (PAR) will host an Investor Day event at the New York Stock Exchange.
  • All day - The Needham Virtual Consumer Tech/Ecommerce Conference will include participation by Penn Entertainment (PENN), Etsy (ETSY), and TrueCar (TRUE). The event has led to share price moves in the past.

Tuesday - November 26

  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Analog Devices (ADI), Dell Technologies (DELL), Crowdstrike (CRWD), Best Buy (BBY), Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS), Workday (WDAY), HP (HPQ), and J.M. Smucker (SJM). Options trading implies a double-digit share price swing for Macy's (M) and Nordstrom (JWN) after their reports hit.
  • All day - The MSCI Quarterly review is scheduled to take place. Stocks may be added to or removed from MSCI indexes, which can significantly affect their demand and price.
  • All day - Shareholders with TechTarget (TTGT) will vote on the proposed deal with Informa.
  • 8:00 a.m. Best Buy (BBY) will hold its earnings conference call, with investors watching for updates on holiday shopping trends and AI laptop demand. Major suppliers to the retailer that tend to move in tandem with it on earnings day include NetGear (NTGR), Turtle Beach (HEAR), and Sonos (SONO). Options trading implies a 7% swing for BBY after the report. The stock rallied 14% after its Q2 earnings report.
  • 9:00 a.m. The Case-Schiller Home Price Index will be released.
  • 10:00 a.m. The New Home Sales report will be released.
  • 2:00 p.m. The Federal Reserve will release minutes from the FOMC meeting on November 6-7.

Wednesday - November 27

  • Earnings watch - Notable companies due to report include Frontline (FRO).
  • All day - Disney's (DIS) Moana 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters. The Dwayne Johnson-led film is being given an outside chance of being the highest-grossing animated movie of all time. Universal's (CMCSA) Wicked Part Two and Paramount Pictures' (PARA) Gladiator II will head into the holiday weekend on week two of their runs.
  • 8:30 a.m. The core PCE price index report for October will be released. The Fed's favored inflation gauge was up 2.7% year-over-year in September.
  • 8:30 a.m. The October Durable goods order report will be released by the U.S. Census Bureau.

Thursday - November 28

  • All day - The U.S. stock market will be closed for observance of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday.

Friday - November 29

  • All day - It is the last trading before the OPEC+ meeting. Traders will be looking for information on how the ministerial discussions may progress.
  • All day - Black Friday is the official start to the holiday shopping season in the U.S. Research firms will release early data and update on product trends.
  • 1:00 p.m. The U.S. stock market will close early.
  • 1:00 p.m. Amazon Prime (AMZN) will stream an NFL game on Black Friday for the second year in a row. Amazon (AMZN) management said it saw an engagement boost last year during the broadcast.
