Market Chatter: Citigroup Names Kate Moore as CIO of Wealth Unit

Citigroup (C) named Kate Moore as chief investment officer of its new wealth unit, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a memo from Andy Sieg, the head of the unit.

Moore, who served as a portfolio manager at BlackRock (BLK), is expected to join Citigroup in February, according to the report.

Steven Wieting has been serving as interim CIO at Citi's wealth unit.

Citigroup did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Shares of Citigroup were down 1.4% in recent Tuesday trading.
