Alaska Air Group (ALK) resumed contract talks with the Association of Flight Attendants last week with a new proposal from the union and a federal mediator, the Seattle Times reported Friday.

The union, which represents 6,900 Alaska Air employees, rejected a tentative three-year contract with the airline in August with a majority citing pay concerns, the report said.

The company and the union didn't disclose details on proposals or negotiations with a

second mediation session scheduled in Dec. 17-19 and a third on Jan. 7-9, the report said.

Alaska Air Group and the Association of Flight Attendants didn't immediately respond to requests for comments from MT Newswires.
