French Banks Under No Funding Pressure Amid Increased Political Risk -- Market Talk

1228 GMT - French banks are under no funding pressure through the end of 2024 as political uncertainty rises, Barclays analysts say in a note. The banks aren't in danger of breaching the regulatory capital requirements, Barclays says. "We do not think French banks need to issue [bonds] at all in December." French banks have capacity to postpone bond issuance until after the release of the 2024 full-year earnings in February, the analysts say. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
