Ubtech Robotics (HKG:9880) won its patent invalidation claim against Shanghai PartnerX Robotics, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

The patent concerns programming robot motion sequences and is a key point in ongoing legal proceedings between the parties.

Ubtech said China's National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) endorsed its request to invalidate PartnerX Robotics' patent right and issued a patent invalidation decision.

Under Chinese laws, if the claims of a patentee in a patent infringement action are declared

invalid by the CNIPA, the court may rule to dismiss the legal action.

Ubtech said the legal proceedings have no significant impact on its operations.
