Cherish Sunshine International (HKG:1094) recorded a profit attributable to owners of HK$2.3 million in the six months ended Sept. 30, lower than HK$3.3 million logged for the corresponding period last year, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange said.

Earnings per share stood at HK$0.0048 for the reporting period, compared with HK$0.0059 recorded for the year-ago period.

The bulk goods trading company's revenue for the six months under review was HK$82.8 million, 59.3% lower than HK$203.6 million booked a year ago.

The company attributed the decrease in revenue to a decline in sales of goods and procurement of goods for engineering, procurement and construction services.

The company's shares were down nearly 3% on Monday's close.
