Academy Sports + Outdoors said it would buy back up to $700 million in shares.
The Katy, Texas, sporting goods retailer said on Wednesday that its board had authorized a new share-repurchase program for up to $700 worth of common stock. The plan is effective for three years.
The repurchase program replaces a previous one that had $423 million left at the time of the new authorization.
