1155 ET - Five Below has benefited from a top-line acceleration, but it should prove it has made a more sustainable improvement, William Blair analyst Phillip Blee says in a research note. So far, there isn't still a clear correlation between a temporary improvement in seasonal sentiment, and the company's efforts to further differentiate and improve its assortment and in-store experience, Blee says. It is also unclear how the discount retailer will manage potential tariff hikes. "We still maintain some concerns about potential volatility as we gain further visibility into trade policies into early 2025," Blee adds. Shares rise 11% to $116.50.
