智通财经APP获悉，据四位知情人士透露，英国石油公司(BP.US)正在为其美国天然气管道网络的股份寻找买家。该公司或从此次出售中筹集至多30亿美元资金，可能会出售至多49%的股权。此次出售是英国石油首席执行官奥金克洛斯(Murray Auchincloss)降低公司债务水平努力的一部分。过去一年，该公司债务水平一直在上升。
由于股价低迷，投资者对英国石油施压，要求其改善业绩和盈利能力，同时外界也对该公司的能源转型战略感到担忧。
该公司计划出售旗下Lightsource BP太阳能业务以及美国陆上风电部门和海上风电业务的股份。奥金克洛斯正在寻求增加现金流和减少债务，他将在明年2月更新公司战略。
英国石油在第三季度财报中称，由于资产处置低于预期，9月底净债务从上年同期的223亿美元升至243亿美元。
今年到目前为止，该公司的股价已经下跌了18%以上，比任何竞争对手的表现都要糟糕。今年以来，壳牌(SHEL.US)的股价下跌了3%，埃克森美孚(XOM.US)上涨了14%，雪佛龙(CVX.US)上涨了近7%。
鉴于产量增加、新管道的许可问题使得现有资产更有价值，近年来，美国油气管道行业经历了越来越多的整合动作。
英国石油公司网站显示，该公司拥有约1,500英里(2414公里)的管道，每天在美国各地运输110万桶原油、天然气和燃料。
