Canadian Solar's (CSIQ) Recurrent Energy unit said Tuesday it has signed a 300 megawatt-peak power purchase agreement with a "major" US-based technology firm.

Under the 10-year deal, renewable energy will be procured from a Recurrent Energy solar photovoltaic project in Valladolid, Spain, according to Recurrent Energy.

Recurrent Energy said the project is expected to be operational by 2026 and plans to own and operate it following energization.

Chief Executive Ismael Guerrero of Recurrent Energy said it will continue to support tech firms in achieving their net zero carbon emission commitments.
