Interpublic $(IPG)$: Rival Omnicom $(OMC)$ is in advanced talks to buy Interpublic, a merger that would create the world's largest advertising firm by net revenue, topping WPP (WPP, UK:WPP). Omnicom stock fell nearly 4% in premarket trading, while Interpublic surged more than 15%.
Super Micro Computer $(SMCI)$: The embattled AI server maker said it has been granted an exceptional extension from Nasdaq that would allow it to publish its delayed annual report. Shares rallied around 10% ahead of the open.
Workday (WDAY) and Apollo Global Management $(APO)$: The two companies will join the S&P 500 on Dec. 23 as part of the index's quarterly rebalance, replacing Qorvo $(QRVO)$ and Amentum $(AMTM)$. Workday and Apollo stock jumped premarket.
Oracle $(ORCL)$: The software company is due to post results after Monday's close, along with Toll Brothers $(TOL)$ and Caseys General Stores (CASY).
