United Natural Foods (UNFI) reported fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings Tuesday of $0.16 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $0.04 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $0.02.
Net sales for the quarter ended Nov. 2 were $7.87 billion, up from $7.55 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $7.61 billion.
For fiscal 2025, the company said it now expects adjusted EPS of $0.40 to $0.80, compared with $0.20 to $0.80 anticipated previously.
Analysts polled by FactSet expect $0.55.
Net sales for the fiscal year are now expected in the range of $30.60 billion to $31 billion, compared with the company's prior guidance range of $30.30 billion to $30.80 billion, it said.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $30.72 billion.
