0821 GMT - The Malaysian consumer sector is poised for growth in 2025, thanks to favorable economic conditions and strategic government policies, MIDF Research analyst Eunice Ng Qing Rong writes in a report. Continued demand for essential goods will also likely support the sector, she says. The gradual tourism recovery could boost retail demand further, benefiting consumer staples and general merchandise retailers, she adds. MIDF Research maintains a positive rating on Malaysia's consumer sector. AEON Co. $(MIMI)$ and Fraser & Neave are its top picks. (amanda.lee@wsj.com)
