摩根士丹利发研报指，即使2025年的挑战可能是自疫情以来最高的，但该行对美国航空公司仍保持乐观。该行预计需求将保持强劲，随着国际和企业业务完成疫情后的恢复，客流量增长和高端市场的强势将持续。同时，该行预计行业在2024年下半年的运力限制至少在2025年仍然存在，并且伴随着一个较为温和的喷气燃料环境。
该行认为，在可预见的未来，客运量可以以中等个位数的速度增长，而运力将以较低的个位数速度增长。另外，该行认为2025年将是首次看到每座位英里收入（RASM）持续超过每可用座英里成本（CASM）增长的一年，这将导致整个行业的利润率扩大。
