知情人士透露，零食和糖果公司亿滋国际正在探索收购美国知名巧克力生产商好时公司，这笔潜在交易有望缔造一家总销售近500亿美元的食品巨头。
因讨论未公开信息而要求匿名的知情人士表示，总部位于芝加哥的亿滋已就可能的合并进行初步接触。截至上周末，亿滋的市值约为840亿美元，好时为350亿美元。
这并非亿滋首次寻求与好时达成交易。这家巧克力巨头在2016年拒绝了亿滋230亿美元的收购提议，后者随之退出关于潜在收购的讨论。
截至上周五，好时的股价今年以来在纽约市场累计下跌约6%。数据显示，包括债务在内，好时的市值约为400亿美元。这意味着对好时的潜在收购将超过今年最大一笔交易——零食制造商玛氏8月同意以近360亿美元收购Kellanova，其中包括债务。
任何交易都需要得到Hershey Trust Co．的支持，该公司持有好时几乎所有B类股，因此拥有约80%的投票权。该信托公司在缓慢出售所持有的部分好时股份以实现投资组合多元化。
知情人士表示，磋商处于早期阶段，不确定是否会达成协议。好时的一位代表说，该公司不对市场传言置评。记者无法立即联系到Hershey Trust的发言人置评。亿滋的代表没有回应多次置评请求。
