Weihai City Commercial Bank (HKG:9677) is proposing to change its English name to Weihai Bank Co., Ltd., a Thursday bourse filing said.
The English stock short name of the lender will remain unchanged.
The move comes about in order to ensure the consistency and standardization of the bank's name and avoid confusion.
The name change is subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
