Shares in Perpetua Resources rose Monday morning after it said it has plans to explore antimony processing opportunities with Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining.
Shares rose 3.9% to 18.02 Canadian dollars ($12.73).
Perpetua said that it as entered into a memorandum of understanding with Susnhine Silver Mining to evaluate processing and refining antimony from the its Stibnite Gold project in Idaho at the Sunshine Mine Complex.
China currently dominates antimony production, refinement, and processing capabilities globally, and recently announced sweeping bans on exports of antimony to the U.S., the company said.
