The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said Tuesday that it does not oppose Integral Diagnostics' (ASX: IDX) proposed acquisition of Capitol Health (ASX: CAJ) via a scheme of arrangement, according to a same-day release.
The clearance is conditional on Integral Diagnostics divesting Capitol Health's radiology clinic in the Melton region of Victoria, the ACCC said.
In separate same-day filings with the Australian bourse, Capitol Health welcomed ACCC's statement and said the acquisition remains subject to final orders from the court to approve the scheme.
Meanwhile, Integral Diagnostics said the company expects the merger to be implemented on Dec. 20.
Shares of Internal Diagnostics and Capitol Health each rose 2% in recent trade.
