IT之家 12 月 13 日消息，消息源 Roland Quandt 于 12 月 10 日在 BlueSky 平台发布动态，透露高通正积极推进 Glymur 计划，第二代骁龙 X Elite 芯片将涉足台式机桌面市场。
高通目前共推出 X1E-78-100、X1E-80-100 和 X1E-84-100 三款骁龙 X Elite 芯片，内部代号为 Project Hamoa，主要用于笔记本电脑。
IT之家曾于今年 10 月报道，高通公司正在研发继任者，内部代号为 Project Glymur。
最新消息称，高通对 Project Glymur 寄予厚望，不仅在性能方面有明显提升，媲美苹果 M4 芯片，而且还计划推出针对台式机版本。
消息称高通内部正在测试 SC8480XP 型号，和现有游戏台式机一样，搭配 AIO 一体式水冷散热器（配备 120 毫米风扇）。这种散热方案通常用于高性能游戏 PC 或台式机，暗示着该芯片将以高速度和高功耗运行，拥有桌面级性能。
