Gilead Sciences (GILD) said it appointed Dietmar Berger as its chief medical officer, effective Jan. 2, replacing Merdad Parsey.
Berger brings over 25 years of experience in "developing and delivering innovative medicines across a broad range of therapeutic areas," Gilead said late Thursday. He will also join Gilead's senior leadership team.
Most recently, Berger was the CMO at Sanofi (SNY).
