Rimfire Pacific Mining (ASX:RIM) started a maiden two-diamond hole, 300-meter drill program at the Murga prospect in Central New South Wales, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The drilling program, aimed at obtaining bulk samples of scandium-mineralized laterite material, will also investigate the scandium prospectivity of the underlying fresh basement rocks at the prospect, the filing added.
The resource exploration company expects to complete the diamond drilling by Christmas, with logging and sampling set to conclude in January 2025 and plans to convert the Murga prospect into a mineral resource estimate by 2025.
