Prudential (HKG:2378, SGX:K6S) bought back 899,631 ordinary shares from the London Stock Exchange through Barclay Securities for an average price of 6.5236 pounds sterling apiece on Friday, a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
The company plans to cancel the shares, after which the insurer will have 2,662,329,320 shares in issue.
