Mama's Creations Down 15% After Hours as Construction Issues Hurt 3Q Margins

Shares of prepared-foods company Mama's Creations fell 15% to $8.28 after hours as it reported fiscal third-quarter results.

Revenue increased 10% to $31.5 million, while earnings per share declined to 1 cent from 5 cents as construction-related disruptions and chicken prices contributed to a lower gross margin.

"These construction challenges are now firmly behind us, as our preliminary unaudited November gross margin profile saw a step change improvement, indicative of a full reversal of the construction headwinds with significant room for further improvement," the company said.
