--Private-equity firm CVC Capital Partners is looking to potentially acquire Vivendi's stake in Telecom Italia, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources.
--CVC has been in talks with Vivendi to buy its 24% stake in the Italian telecommunication group's common shares currently valued at around 1 billion euros ($1.05 billion), Bloomberg says.
--The buyout firm may eventually seek a full takeover of Telecom Italia and try to break up the business, Bloomberg adds.
--CVC, Vivendi and Telecom Italia declined to comment.
