Suzano (SUZ) is exploring an offer to acquire Clearwater Paper (CLW), Bloomberg reported late Thursday, citing unnamed people with knowledge of the matter.
The deal by the Brazilian paper company to buy its American counterpart, which has a market capitalization of $409 million, has yet to be finalized and the proposition could fail, Bloomberg reported.
Suzano and Clearwater did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
