消息面上，美联储主席鲍威尔在货币政策会议后的新闻发布会上明确表示，美联储无意参与政府囤积比特币的任何计划。他强调，这类问题属于国会的职责范围，而美联储并未寻求改变现有法律以允许持有比特币。鲍威尔同时表示，尽管12月采取了降息措施，但未来的货币政策调整步伐将会放缓。
分析人士指出，虽然特朗普承诺推行“有利于数字资产行业的政策”，并已计划新设白宫加密货币相关职位、提名比特币支持者，但对于政策落地，背后既蕴含机遇，也面临诸多现实阻力。受消息影响，12月19日，比特币一度跌破9.6万美元关口，最低报9.57万美元/枚。比特币从最高10.8万美元/枚回调，两天内跌超1万美元/枚。
