小菜园是知名中国大众便民中式餐饮市场直营连锁餐厅之一，以业务规模和增长率计均居于业内顶级行列。小菜园菜品主要以农家红烧肉、地锅仔鸡、臭鳜鱼等徽菜闻名。截至最后实际可行日期，公司有623家在营的直营门店，覆盖中国13个省的135个城市或县。目前，公司的主要门店经营地区位于华东地区，且公司亦已将门店网络扩展至中国其他地区。
据弗若斯特沙利文，就23年的门店收入而言，“小菜园”在中国大众便民中式餐饮市场的所有品牌中排名第一，客单价50元至100元人民币，占市场份额的0.2%。按收入计，客单价50元至100元人民币之间的大众便民中式餐饮市场规模于2023年为人民币22,529亿元，约占整体中式餐饮市场的55.2%。
