Investor Confidence in U.K. Stocks Rises, Falls Elsewhere -- Market Talk

1024 GMT - Investor confidence in the U.K. stock market rose 6% in December despite inflation risks, writes Hargreaves Lansdown's Emma Wall. Meanwhile, confidence in European stocks fell 20%, and Asia Pacific was down 12% while global emerging markets fell 7%, according to the HL Investor Confidence survey. Even in North America, investor confidence fell 1%. However, confidence in the U.K. economy decreased 7%, Wall notes. (adam.whittaker@wsj.com)
