MTU Aero Engines Naming Next CEO Signals Faster-Than-Expected Transition -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
18 Dec 2024

0852 GMT - MTU Aero Engines appointing Johannes Bussmann as next CEO indicates a faster-than-anticipated transition, Jefferies analysts Chloe Lemarie and Ben Brown say. The aircraft-engine manufacturer had previously said that current CEO Lars Wagner wouldn't extend his mandate, which runs until the end of 2025. "A rapid transition may pave the way for a quicker catalyst than we expected, as the group's postponed capital markets days could thus be held prior to the usual November timing," the analysts write in a note. Shares are up 0.2% at 325 euros. (anthony.orunagoriainoff@dowjones.com)
