Hyatt Hotels (H) reached an agreement with hotel workers from Unite Here Local 2, who voted to approve a new union contract, ending a three-month strike at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, the union said Saturday in a statement.
The four-year contract includes wage increases, improved health-care benefits and protections against understaffing, the union said. The agreement was finalized late Friday night and covers workers at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, Hotel Kabuki, and Hyatt Regency San Francisco at Embarcadero.
About 650 workers remain on strike at Hilton San Francisco Union Square, and workers at Parc 55 in downtown San Francisco "could walk off the job at any time," the union said. The hotels are managed by Hilton Worldwide Holdings (HLT).
Hilton didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
