Shares of OS Therapies climbed after the company said it has agreed to sell 1.5 million units to investors at $4 apiece in a private placement.
The stock was up 17.5% at $4.44 in early trading. Shares debuted at $4 in the company's initial public offering over the summer and have since vacillated between a high of $6.48 and a low of $1.58.
The clinical-stage biotechnology company said Tuesday that each of the units consists of one share of convertible preferred stock, which can be converted into one share of common stock and one warrant to buy another share.
The private placement is expected to yield proceeds of about $6 million, before offering-related costs, and close on Dec. 27.
