在接受《瑞典晚报》采访时，部长普尔莫赫塔里对这家受欢迎的折扣网站提出了尖锐批评，声称 Temu 和来自中国的类似平台加剧了环境恶化和恶劣的劳工条件。因此，她提议禁止 Temu 产品进口到瑞典。
然而，Temu 对这些指控做出了回应，反驳了其环境标准低于业内其他公司的看法。Temu 新闻部表示：在环境影响和生产过剩方面，我们比传统零售业具有显著优势。
Temu 的一个主要论点是，其直接面向消费者的商业模式消除了中间商，从而减少了浪费。
“在环境方面，Temu 比传统零售享有相当大的优势。Temu 将已经出售给打算使用它们的人的产品运送到瑞典。因此，与其他零售商不同，它们不存在未售出并变成废物的风险。”该公司在给 Aftonbladet 的电子邮件中解释道。
