2143 GMT - Australia's S&P/ASX 200 is likely to open a tad higher in thinned, holiday-week trade, building on Monday's gains. ASX futures are up by 0.1%, fueled by earlier strength on Wall Street. There's little news from big stocks before the bell. Paladin Energy completes its acquisition of TSX-listed Fission Uranium. After the market closed Monday, gold miner St. Barbara reported unfavorable Papua New Guinea tax assessments to which it said it will object. At 0030 GMT, Australia's central bank will publish the minutes of its December monetary policy meeting, which will be scoured for clues on the timing of potential rate cuts.
