Chinese mobile game developer Perfect World (SHE:002624) plans to sell the game assets of subsidiary Chengfeng Studio to US video game developer Scopely for $34.5 million, according to a Shenzhen Stock Exchange disclosure on Monday.
Scopely was the developer of mobile board game Monopoly Go!
The assets to be sold also include Chengfeng Studio's documents, computers, and other office equipment related to the games under its development.
As part of the transaction, most of the studio's employees, including the main core team, will leave Perfect World and set up a new company to develop new games.
Perfect World's shares rose 1% in recent trade.
