Prudential (HKG:2378, SGX:K6S) bought back 1 million ordinary shares in London on Friday for an average price of 6.26 pounds sterling apiece, a Monday bourse filing said.
The insurer will cancel the shares, following which it will have 2,657,521,888 shares in issue.
