随着日本交易活动日渐增多，摩根大通从美国银行挖来Satoshi Shimada负责领导其在东京的日本并购团队。
该公司发言人称，Shimada近期已加入摩根大通担任董事总经理，负责该行在日本的并购业务。摩根大通表示，前任Koichiro Doi将担任日本并购业务副董事长，并专注于与主要客户建立关系。
在政府推动企业提高股东价值、日元疲软和借贷成本较低的综合推动下，日本的交易活动一直在激增，出现了更多涉及私募股权公司的私有化交易、国内业务整合以及境外和境内并购交易。
