In Bandung, 161,000 Train Tickets Are Still Available for Christmas and New Year Travel

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Operational Area 2 Bandung is still providing train tickets for various destinations during the 2024/2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) transportation period.

"There are still 161,619 tickets available for departures until early January 2025, so people still have many choices for traveling," said Executive Vice President of PT KAI Operational Area 2 Bandung Dicky Eka Priandana, quoted from his statement, Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Dicky said that during the 2024/2025 Nataru period starting December 19, 2024 to January 5, 2025, PT KAI Operational Area 2 Bandung operates 56 long-distance train trips. The details are 46 regular trains and 10 additional trains. The additional trains serve a number of favorite routes from Bandung including to Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Cirebon, Semarang, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo, and other cities on the island of Java.

"A total of 285,552 train tickets are provided by Daop 2 Bandung during the 2024/2025 Nataru Transportation. We continue to monitor the development of ticket sales during the Nataru Transportation period. Until the third day, the occupancy rate of long-distance trains has reached 41.3 percent or 117,963 tickets have been sold," he said.

He appealed to the public to immediately order train tickets through a number of channels provided by PT KAI. Among them are through the Access by KAI application, the official PT KAI website, or other official ticket sales partners. Ticket reservations can be made online so that prospective passengers can choose the appropriate schedule and seat without having to come to the station.

"We are committed to providing the best service for the public by prioritizing the safety, comfort, and security of customers traveling by train," he said.
