2024年11月，在沙特首都利雅得举办的第八届未来投资倡议（FII）期间，中国中车（香港）有限公司、中车南京浦镇车辆有限公司与埃及建筑巨头Hassan Allam Construction共同签署了一项具有划时代意义的协议，旨在构建一个全长3.6公里、采用无人驾驶技术的单轨列车系统。

该单轨列车系统以其创新性和前瞻性备受瞩目，不仅将连接起金融区内的办公楼、零售空间和休闲设施，还实现了与利雅得地铁的无缝衔接，极大地提升了城市的可达性和便捷性。
