智通财经APP获悉，美国航空(AAL.US)表示，为该公司维护航班操作系统的第三方供应商DXC Technology发生技术问题导致平安夜所有航班短暂停飞。
美国航空周二表示，与网络硬件相关的问题已经解决，航班已经恢复。该公司在一份声明中表示：“我们为今天上午给客户带来的不便真诚地道歉。”“我们的团队正在努力工作，让客户尽快到达他们需要去的地方。”该公司没有说是否预计会有进一步的延误或其他连锁反应。
美国联邦航空管理局(FAA)于美国东部时间12月24日早上证实，因遭遇广泛技术问题，美国航空暂时停飞所有航班。此次短暂停飞持续了大约一个小时。
根据航空数据提供商Cirium的数据，美国航空当天有3320个国内航班和581个国际航班。Cirium指出，截至下午早些时候，该公司只有19个航班被取消，与所有航空公司通常1%的航班取消率相符。不过，Cirium同时指出，截至下午早些时候，只有约37%的美国航空航班准点起飞，并指出大多数航空公司的目标是80%的航班在预定时间的15分钟内起飞和抵达。
Cirium表示，美国航空的大部分延误时间都在两小时以内。例如，72%从美国航空达拉斯枢纽起飞的航班在预定时间的一小时内起飞。Cirium发言人Mike Arnot表示：“从之前的此类事件来看，美国航空似乎能够维持其计划，尽管有些延误。”“不过，随着工作人员暂停工作，当天晚些时候取消航班的情况可能会上升。”
