CVR Subsidiary Sells Stake in Midway Pipeline

CVR Energy said a subsidiary has sold its interest in Midway Pipeline in exchange for a cash consideration of about $90 million.

Coffeyville Resources Pipeline sold its 50% stake to Plains Pipeline, CVR said.

Midway operates a pipeline that connects CVR's Coffeyville refinery to a crude oil hub in Cushing, Okla.

CVR also said a pipeline agreement with Midway will allow it to deliver a variety of crude oils from the Cushing hub to the Coffeyville refinery over the long term.

Also on Thursday, CVR said certain subsidiaries entered into a term loan credit agreement providing for a senior secured term loan facility in an initial principal amount of $325 million. CVR said the total amount was borrowed in full on the Dec. 19 closing date.
