消息面上，国家工信部公布，今年首十一个月通信业整体运行态势平稳，按照上年不变价计算的电信业务总量增长10%。移动电话用户规模稳中有增，5G用户数突破10亿户。截至11月底三家基础电信企业及中国广电的移动电话用户总数达17.9亿户，比上年末净增4,682万户。其中，5G移动电话用户达10.02亿户，比上年末净增1.8亿户，占移动电话用户的56%，占比较上年末提高9.4个百分点。
