1110 ET - Century Communities says private home builders will face greater challenges due to their diminished scale and less competitive financing. That creates an opportunity for public home builders to continue growing and taking share, says Executive VP Jim Francescon. CCS, which completed two acquisitions this year, will be opportunistic with any potential acquisition target, Francescon said. The company's targets would ideally have a growing presence in its existing markets, he added. It operates in 17 states and over 45 markets including California, Utah, Texas, and Florida.
