NETS appoints UOB’s Lawrence Goh to its board of directors

Goh succeeds Eddie Khoo, senior advisor to UOB Vietnam, as a UOB representative to the NETS board.

Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS) has appointed UOB head of group technology and operations (GTO) Lawrence Goh to its board of directors, effective Dec 23.

Goh succeeds Eddie Khoo, senior advisor to UOB Vietnam, as a UOB representative to the NETS board. Goh has over 30 years of international experience, having held positions as the head of group infrastructure platform services and COO for GTO at UOB. 

Currently, Goh leads a team of more than 7,000 staff across the region. He is also the Technology and Operations Workgroup co-chair of the MAS-ABS Cross Border Governance Steering Committee and a member of the ABS Digitalisation Standing Committee.

“As digital adoption continues to accelerate, a robust payment system is essential to ensure the consumer experience is secure and seamless. We look forward to working closely with [Goh] and leveraging on his experience to reinforce NETS’ position as a leading provider of digital payment services in Singapore,” says NETS chairman Jeremy Soo.
