智通财经APP获悉，核电在2024年成为市场关注的焦点。Radiant Energy Group董事总经理Mark Nelson表示，虽然2023年科技公司对核电的兴趣有所增加，但2024年“就像全世界都发现了核电一样”。
他解释道，人工智能和能源需求的交汇使人们意识到“科技公司没有切合实际的能源增长战略”，这为核电创造了机会。然而，他警告，尽管今年各大公司做出了许多“承诺”，但2025年“将是‘展示给我看’的一年”。
Nelson表示：“很明显的是，这些公司的高管们对能源问题有点措手不及防，他们正争先恐后地了解能源。”Nelson指出“核能是一种特殊的能源形式”，但他对2025年的基础设施发展仍持乐观态度，称事态正朝着“正确的方向发展”。
Nelson还就美国当选总统唐纳德·特朗普提名Chris Wright出任能源部部长一事发表了评论，他表示：“我听到的都是好消息。”
今年以来，美股核电股强劲上涨，NANO Nuclear Energy(NNE.US)暴涨600%，NuScale Power(SMR.US)涨超500%，Vistra Energy(VST.US)、Talen Energy(TLN.US)涨超200%，Graham(GHM.US)和Oklo Inc(OKLO.US)涨超100%。
