Odyssey Marine Exploration (OMEX) shares were up Thursday after the company said it formed a joint venture with Capital Latinoamericano to develop a fertilizer project in Mexico.
The joint venture will seek to establish a private-public partnership with the Mexican government on the project, Odyssey said.
The ocean exploration company also said it secured $4 million via a funding round led by Juan Cortina, principal of Capital Latinoamericano. Holders of Odyssey's debt also agreed to extend the maturity date of notes due December 2024 to December 2025 and notes due June 2025 to April 2026, the company said.
