Sembcorp Industries' (SGX:U96) wholly owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Utilities, completed acceptance tests to achieve the commercial operation of the Manah II Solar Independent Power Project in Oman, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Monday.
The tests were completed four months ahead of schedule.
The project is the company's first greenfield renewables development in the region with an installed peak capacity of 588MW.
The project is expected to contribute to Oman's renewable energy transition goal to 30% by 2030, the filing said.
