MicroStrategy (MSTR) said in a regulatory filing Monday that it purchased about 2,138 bitcoins for about $209 million in cash, at an average price of about $97,837 per bitcoin, between Dec. 23 and Dec. 29.
As of Sunday, MicroStrategy owned about 446,400 bitcoins, with a total purchase price of roughly $27.9 billion and an average price of about $62,428 apiece, according to an 8-K filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
MicroStrategy shares were up 4.6% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
