The China Securities Investor Services Center applied for the its participation in the ordinary representative litigation for the securities misrepresentation case against Jin Tong Ling Technology (SHE:300091), according to company filings in both Shenzhen and Hong Kong bourses on Thursday.
Chinese securities brokers Sealand Securities (SHE:000750), Huaxi Securities (SHE:002926) and Everbright Securities (SHA:601788, HKG:6178) were among the defendants of the case.
The CSISC's decision came after the Nanjing Intermediate People's Court approved the registration of rights in the ordinary representative litigation, confirming that the investors eligible should be the ones who bought shares in Jin Tong Ling from April 26, 2018 until June 27, 2023.
Rights holders should register by Feb. 5, 2025.
Jin Tong Ling Tech's shares dropped 4%, Sealand Securities dropped less than 6%, Huaxi Securities fell over 5% and Everbright Securities' Shanghai shares dipped over 6% and Hong Kong shares slipped nearly 2% in recent trade.
